P.S 220 Winter concert

Yesterday, Thursday, November 19, 2024, at 6 pm, with great enthusiasm and a festive atmosphere, P.S. 220 Edward Mandel Auditorium in Forest Hills, New York, was held with the presence of all teachers, students, and parents.
At the beginning of the program, P.S. 220 Edward Mandel Principal Josette Pizarro thanked everyone present and invited them to enjoy the program.
With the directing of Musician Director Ms. Gerson and Stage Director Ms. Meriesha, the 3-5th grade students danced to the song Five More Days Til Christmas. The 3rd Grade students sung Life Is Sweeter and Ocho Kandelikas.
Then there was a nutcracker and Willy Wanka performance. The 4th Grade students sung Pure Imagination and Kid On Christmas. The 5th Grade students sung My Favorite Things and All I Want For Christmas Is You. At the end, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders sung Defying Gravity from Wicked, and the parents encouraged the children with a continuous wave of applause.
Also present at the event were Assistant principal Rose Ualerio, Assistant principal Jessica Maldonado, parent coordinator Zoraya Torres, PA president Giselle Mendoza, Chancellor Melissa Auiles, D28 Superintendent Dr. Eric Black, and D28 Dep. Superintendent Dr. Shonelle Hall. Finally, principal Josette Pizarro expressed her gratitude and thanks to everyone present and declared the event over by wishing everyone Happy Holidays.
